Film Production Portfolio
Professional Work
The Seed of Savings
A short film I developed and produced with Enfranchisement Productions for the Oregon State Treasury, to promote their new state-run retirement program. The goal of this Ken Burns parody was to reach Oregonians through playing at local movie theaters and film festivals. Features narration by Ken Burns’ go-to narrator, Peter Coyote. Served as producer, co-writer, and director. (2019)
Out In Texas (Part 5)
Part of a documentary web series I developed and produced with Enfranchisement Productions for Family Equality Council, highlighting the anniversary of the Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage. Series focuses on two families in Texas and looks at how the decision affected their lives. Served as producer and director. You can watch the whole series here. (2020)
Bobby’s Big Problem
A short web video I developed and produced with Enfranchisement Productions for Born Perfect. This video was originally planned as a Broad City-esc live-action shoot, but the COVID pandemic hit while we were in pre-production. Once some productions started again in Los Angeles, we pivoted our concept to something that allowed for safer filming. It was a pleasant surprise to shift to puppets and have the opportunity to work with talented voice actors and professional puppeteers. Starring River Butcher, D'Arcy Carden, and Patton Oswalt. Served as producer and co-writer. Directed by Carly Usdin. (2021)

Passion Projects
Jerry’s Middle Finger “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” (Live at L.A. Dead Night)
No-budget experimental shoot with miniHD camcorders. Inspired by the old broadcasts from the Capitol Theatre. Served as producer, camera operator, editor, and designer of hand-drawn title cards. (2019)
The Back Nine
Sample pilot for a web series I helped my friend, writer and comedian Jimmy Helm, develop and produce. It was imagined as a dry humor talk show, during a round of golf. We shot this pilot with casting director John Jackson, who I had worked with on a few films. Neither Jimmy or John play golf, and filming a round of golf provided some technical challenges too, but it was a fun day and it has its moments. Jimmy moved to New York and we didn’t revisit the idea, but I’ve encouraged him to consider it as a podcast. Served as producer, director, and editor. (2016)
